A Play of Devotion and Necessity
Lucerne and Weissy met whilst travelling in Switzerland. Lucerne was captivated by Weissy’s title and standing and he was spellbound by her cherries. He followed her willingly and was devoted. She kept him happy and close but found true pleasure in the doors he opened for her.
The couple are ceramic and were an unwanted Staffordshire type flatback. They are sitting on a decoupaged wooden base and dressed with painted tattoos, and foil leaf, vintage textiles , jewels and dried flowers.
All my pieces are individual and one-off - as I only work with recycled and reclaimed objects I never know what I am going to find. If you are looking for something particular, please ask - and I'll start looking!
