When she woke up everyone had gone out. She wasn't a fan of being on her own, but today she felt different. She seized the opportunity to dress up in her bling, sing show tunes and parade around with free abandon. She wondered if this might be a turning point. The puppy loved the game and joined in with the infectious dance.
The pig is a discarded toy, with glass and artificial fruits on her back, a ceramic puppy and dried flowers, and vintage textiles. All materials are recycled, collected or found, deconstructed and reassembled to tell a new story and have a refreshed purpose.
I have also dressed them with decoupage, painted tattoos and foil leaf. She has vintage Indian textiles and painted hooves.
All my pieces are individual and one-off - as I only work with recycled and reclaimed objects I never know what I am going to find. If you are looking for something particular, please ask - and I'll start looking!
